A Dream Come True

Well, it was pretty obvious how perfect the ACMs were. They started AND ended with Hunter. :) First, he took the stage playing with Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley. He was really ripping that guitar! It was amazing! My favorite part was when Brad said "Say hello to Hunter everybody!" and Hunter just smiled, and kept ripping away. Ahhh perfection. :) Then, I had to wait for what felt like FOREVER for him to play "I Want Crazy." Literally, I went crazy. As soon as he announced on Twitter that he would be debuting his new single, AND playing with the amazing STEVIE WONDER, I could hardly contain my excitement! Since Stevie is one of Hunter's heroes, and inspirations, it would be awesome to see them on the stage together! It was a dream come true! For both me, and Hunter as well. And. when I finally got to see him perform "I Want Crazy" it was absolutely perfect, and I really enjoyed the beach balls and confetti. :) Then, out came Stevie Wonder, and they performed "Sir Duke" together. IT WAS SO AMAZING! Then Luke Bryan won entertainer of the year (it was amazing, and he was completely emotional, and it was really amazing) and then Stevie Wonder came back out and played "Signed Sealed Delivered (I'm Yours)" and low and behold, Hunter was on the drums, and he was wearing a suit, with a red tie, and it was just great. Blake, and Luke came out, and sang with Stevie, and it was probably the best ACM awards show I had ever seen. I've always listened to country music, and it was all I listened growing up, and that's mostly thanks to my parents, :) But I couldn't think of any genre any better:) I mean, it's gotta be great if they get so many awards shows right? They have the ACMs, CMAs, and some part in the Grammy's. What other genre has two awards shows to themselves? That's right, nobody:) So, all in all, I would say that this year's ACM's were a huge success!

Stay Crazy everyone :)

~Hunter, you're going to be so successful, and you're going to gain so many more Hayniacs, but remember us out there who have been with you from the start, and we're going to watch you, as you go on through your amazing life, and it's going to be amazing, and we Hayniacs will ALWAYS be on your side. Stay classy:)

Here it Comes!

So, as most of us know, the ACM Awards are this Sunday. Hunter recently announced he'll be performing the world premier of his new single "I Want Crazy." After he performs, the single will be released to be played on the radio, ect. Crazy right?! I've been anxiously waiting for the arrival of new music. So with that in mind, his new album which is "Hunter Hayes Encore" will be released, as of now, June 18. And, it includes 7 new and re-recorded songs. It's so exciting! I know he's been working on new music lately, because he always hints at it on Twitter. There's no doubt his new album will be just as, or if not more amazing. And, there's more! At the ACM Awards, he'll be performing with one of his inspirations, STEVIE WONDER. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY. And after that, I'll be impatiently waiting for June 18. I feel like one of Hunter's appeals is the fact that he can take forever to release new music, and he drags us all along with little nibbles, like free downloads of new releases (i.e. Light Me Up, and Can't Say Love) before he gives us the whole thing. And, he's able to do this, and accumulate more and more fans, with all of us waiting impatiently in anticipation. The fact that he does this, is in response with all the hard work he does on his album. He does all the instrumentals to ensure everything is done right. Also he wants to make sure everything is perfect, so it's better than his last album. (Which I'm sure it will be!)I admire this. He takes so much pride in his work, and it's just amazing. So, thank you Hunter Hayes for doing what you do, and don't ever stop. Stay beautiful.

P.S. Hunter, pleassse don't take two years to release your next album. I WILL go insane. :)

Perfection :)

In my mind, Hunter is probably the most perfect singer/songwriter I know. His image is so clean, and I've never heard him swear. I heard him do a cover on "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars, and at the point in the song where the lyrics go "she hates her laugh, but I think it's so sexy" Hunter substitutes "pretty" for "sexy" and I think that is just the sweetest thing. He's just so perfect. :) I also found this picture of him, supporting Muscular Dystrophy. That, is also one of the sweetest things that I've seen. I've also recently re-discovered a ton of his songs. (I've been a fan forever now, but I guess you could say that recently, I've become a little obsessed....) My favorite song of his that I've also recently re-discovered is 'Homesick.' It's got an amazing acoustic sound, and his voice just sounds like melted honey... haha anyway, the song just speaks to me, and one day, I sat at home, and had the song on repeat for a good 2 hours. It's a song, for me, that will never get old. It isn't a song that he's released, but it took me some digging to find it again...Other songs that I've re-discovered would be 'Hearts and Rockets' and 'Love Talking' Oh and also 'Just for the Thrill' I just can't stop listening to him! When I'm not listening to his music, I'm either sulking, because I don't have headphones with me, or because I'm not allowed to listen to music, or I'm watching videos of him... I also love how he took 'What You Gonna Do' from 'Songs About Nothing' and put it on his current album. It makes me smile on the inside (as well as the outside) :) Haha anyway, here's another amazing quote from our beloved Hunter:

"Nothing that I write means anything until it means something to someone else"
~Hunter Hayes

Amazing. :)

My Little World :)

Our Pinnacle Bank Arena is opening in September, and I think it would be ABSOLUTELY AMAZING if Hunter would come! I wouldn't have to drive the interstate in my 20 year old car to get to Omaha and somehow end up in Council Bluffs. (trust me, this has happened before, coming back from a Bon Jovi concert my mom won tickets to) AND IT WOULD BE RIGHT HERE IN LINCOLN! Ugh, just sitting here, typing this makes me all giddy, and it's probably not even going to happen... I'd be able to save my money, and everything! AHHHHH I WOULD BE SO EXCITED! I think if I ever did get to meet him, I would probably faint, or like die and go to heaven or something. Or you know, if he just simply followed me on twitter... I mean he's got so many fans craving for his attention, what's one more anyway? It's not like I'm any more important than the rest. But OH MY GOSH, just the thought of him, being right here, in my little world of Lincoln, Nebraska, just makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs! So, Hunter, this goes out to you. Please, please, please, consider coming to Lincoln! I promise you wouldn't regret it!

Another favorite quote:)

-You have to be yourself, and the only person who can be yourself is you, and trust me, you're good at it. ~Hunter Hayes

Someday..... :)

One 1969 Shelby Mustang Coming Right Up:)
So, I follow Hunter, and his Road Guy on twitter, and I always see these tweets about people who are so excited to meet him, or had met him already. It's one of my dreams to meet Hunter someday... It's just a tough thing to accomplish, and the odds aren't exactly in my favor. Although I own his CD's and can listen to his music almost whenever I want, it's just not the same as being able to see him live, or hearing his songs on the radio. It's more exciting to be driving along, and hear the start of his song, recognize it immediately and crank it up so loud I get death glares from all the old ladies in their huge Buick Le Sabers. My car doesn't have a CD player, so where ever I go, I literally talk to the radio, and tell it to play Hunter Hayes. It's about as helpful as telling the light to turn green, but one can hope right? I've been saving my money forever, but I know I won't have nearly enough to go to his concert in Omaha, in May. Hopefully, the next tour he's on, he'll stop in Lincoln, I mean we were just voted the happiest city in the U.S.... (according to the Lincoln Journal Star)  That's reason enough, right? So, I'll just have to save for next year, and hope he stops by Nebraska--it really is the good life.

Music--The Cure For Everything

Whether it's just been a horrible day, or I just need something to cheer me up, music will pretty much by my best friend. But, sometimes it's more than just a bad day. Sometimes it's something more serious than that. Towards the end of my treatment for scoliosis ( an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine.) I had darn near had enough of it. I told my mom, five years just seemed like way too long, and I was getting tired of having to wear an extra inch of plastic around me all day. I felt horrible for complaining, because I'd walk into my doctor's office, and see young girls (scoliosis is most common in females) about 6 or 7 wearing a brace. I knew they had a long road ahead of them. I started my treatment in the summer after 5th grade. I finally got the thing off last year. It caused me so many problems. It hindered my ability to play softball, my favorite sport (but, no fear, I found my way around it) and caused me severe stomach pains from the pressure, as well as back pains that I still get, despite my treatment being over. I became very shy, and I felt extremely unimportant. Towards the end of my treatment, Hunter Hayes became my best friend. I'd come home from an extremely tough and stressful day (those happened often) I'd go to my room, sit on my bed, and just spend hours listening to him on repeat. Instantaneously, I would feel better. Music has been proven to release endorphins in your brain that make you feel happy. Looking back, I'm not sure I would have been able to stay sane through that last year of wearing a back brace, if not for Hunter Hayes. The song that best suited my predicament was 'Faith to Fall Back On.' And, to this day, it remains one of my favorite songs. So without even him even realizing it, Hunter has touched so many lives, in so many ways, and if I could find a way to thank him personally, I would do almost anything to tell him how much what he does has touched my life.

My favorite Hunter Hayes quote:
"Dream as big as you want because they come true everyday"

And... don't forget...
~The only way to deal with reality, is to go insane~

Hunter Hayes is Hunter Hayes

Many people claim to believe that Hunter Hayes is the Justin Bieber of the country music genre. And in some ways they're right. But should someone compare a person to another by small details? It's about like saying a hawk and a bluejay are the same thing just because they both fly. Here, I'll break it down a little further.
Similarites:
  • They sing
  • Males
  • Large Female Fan Population
Differences:
Hunter:
  • Has written/co-written all of his songs
  • Can play 30+ instruments
  • Does all vocals on recent album
  • Puts together webisodes for his fans
  • Very down-to-earth, connects with fans
  • Has talent
  • Hasn't been busted for illegal activites
  • Very fashionable:) (CONVERSE ALL THE WAY!)
Bieber:
  • Has some guy play guitar for him during live acoustic performances
  • Has songwriters (although, give him some credit, he's co-written SOME)(In my mind, a real artist in the music scene is someone who can write their own music, sing it, and play some instrumentals. Just my opinion though)
  • Has been "alledgedly" caught with an illegal substance
  • Can't figure out the concept of a belt.
  • Sounds like a girl
If this were a contest, I'd say Hunter is the clear winner. His attributes are much more postitive, but what can I say? I'm pretty biased:)

~Hunter Hayes:
Number one on the stage, and number one in my heart!:)

Best Remedy For Homework Blues?

HUNTER HAYES!!!
http://www.gotcountryonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/hunter-hayes-635.jpgI'll be sitting at home, working on AP notes, and it's to the point where I'm falling asleep on my book... At that point, I know I need some cure for the homework blues. Needless to say, I pull out my headphones, plug them into my phone (filled with anything Hunter Hayes) and I'm somehow able to power through the rest of the 32 pages of notes for that night. I dread the long hours at school, knowing that only  about a third of my teachers allow us to listen to music in class. Knowing that I can come home at the end of a stressful day of learning things that I don't understand, and listen to my main guy, Hunter Hayes, makes my day go by that much faster. It's crazy, music has allowed me to be able to make it through these past few months, and I know I can always turn to it in my hardest hours. If Hunter never started making music.... well I'd probably be on the floor of my living room, drooling over my AP book, in a homework coma. Thank God for Hunter Hayes! He makes my life that much better, all thanks to him living his dream everyday. :)

-I'll admit, I'm a diehard Hayniac. In case you couldn't tell already... :)

Looking For Talent?

That hand sign means I love you in sign language. :)

As most people who are die hard fans, (or maybe have just come across 'Wanted' on the radio, and were just wondering what amazing perfect human being could have created such beautiful sounds) of Hunter Hayes know his unmistakable talent. His voice may as well just be honey in your ears, it's so sweet and smooth. I believe he can sing almost anything. Actually that's a fact. I've heard him do a cover on 'Billie Jean' and it sounded crazy amazing. He could just as easily become a rock star, with his awesome voice, and crazy mad instrumentals. As most know, his entire debut album, he sang all of the vocals (back-up, and all) as well as playing every single instrument in every single song. Most fans know this, but there's no harm in repeating his success right? He is irrevocably talented. And for being so talented and successful, he's incredibly humble. He's so real, and so easy to connect to, it makes you forget sometimes that he's a celebrity, and a fantastic one at that! I haven't gotten the chance to meet him yet, but I've watched his weekly webisodes, as well as his many interviews, and online ask anything chats. Just watching those has allowed me to be able to see that he's just like anyone else, and his celebrity status hasn't changed him one bit. It's easier to connect with celebrities that way, on a more personal level, and that's too hard to come by. It's reassuring to know that he can be odd, and funny, and just be himself all the time, even when it's tough. :)

This... This is why I love music. :)

I've been a Hayniac forever, or what feels like forever, okay, like 2009... but, honestly, I have never thought that someone as amazing as Hunter Hayes could exist. His music has touched, and inspired so many people around the world. It makes you wonder if he himself realizes his success. I'm positive that he does, but he's just so humble about everything that he's accomplished, it's hard to believe. What I love most about Hunter's music, is that it's real. Unlike most artists these days, he actually writes, or co-writes his songs. That's really hard to come by these days. It's so amazing. His songs, are also so easy to relate to. Not only is he writing to express himself, he's writing for the benefit of his fans. This, this man right here, is the reason I love music, and not to mention the fact I try to listen to his music every day. It just makes my day, if even for those 4 minutes his song is playing. :)
